Fong fights for disaster relief, Big Oil watches Kern River

Assemblyman Vince Fong (R-32nd) wrote a letter co-signed by a group of bipartisan lawmakers requesting $200 million in disaster relief funding. Fong said $100 million of that total was funding that existed but was cut by the governor’s office. “We have asked for $100 million dollars to restore previous and current year funding that was cut from the San Joaquin River Floodplain Restoration,” Fong said. “We need to rebuild, we need to repair our flood protection infrastructure.” Read More…
